Jackson, TN. I grew up in Jackson, a small town between Memphis and Nashville. In the
heart of that infamous "Southern Hospitality", there was a definite focus on
gathering friends and family for good food
and lots of it! Education: Bachelor of Science, Southwest Texas State University. Major: Agriculture-Horticulture Science Work History: Included in the acquisition of the degree in horticulture science was a one year internship in nursery management. That, coupled with a previous twelve years experience in meetings, conventions and hotel operations results in a diverse and versatile background. Why start a Personal Chef Service? After many years of climbing the proverbial corporate ladder, I made a decision to go back to school and complete the quest for the college degree I began 'way back when'. I love gardening, plants and cooking, so the educational path of choice was a hard one to make.
Culinary Experiences: I have taken as many cooking classes as possible over the years both in the U.S. and abroad. I read cookbooks like most folks read novels and whenever the television is on, it is tuned to the 'Food' channel. With cooking, there is always something new to learn. I love to cook, so I'm always learning! |
